Spring is officially here with the clocks going forward an hour, the weather becoming warmer and a fresh smell lingering in the air! Spring time staycations and road trips may just be on our horizon with the current UK Government roadmap to exit out of lockdown.

Holidaying in Somerset
With wonderful, luscious countryside and historical buildings at every turn, we know that Somerset is the place to be this Summer! Looking for the perfect place to start your 2021 Staycation? Here at Pennard Hill Farm we offer three luxurious cottages and two wonderful tents to stay in! There is so much to do in the local area, whether it be a trip to Longleat Safari Park, cider tasting at the local orchards, a visit to one of our wonderful farm shops or a long walk right on the doorstep.
If an escape to the countryside is what you need, you’ll find it with us. Here at Pennard Hill Farm there is no light pollution so you can spend your evenings gazing up at the stars whilst toasting marshmallows on the fire all after a relaxing day in the heart of the mendip hills.
Our Self-Catered Cottages
The three unique Pennard cottages are accompanied by wonderful wildlife and wilderness just ready to be explored and plenty of space and tranquility for the whole family. We have an array of facilities and activities from spa treatments, to a luxury indoor pool! Everything you need to have that perfect getaway. The Lamb’s rustic charm will take you by surprise with an open plan living area with kitchen, dining table, seating area and flat screen TV, you have everything you need to feel right at home! Our Haybarn cottage, which sleeps two people, offers a similar package, a home away from home.
Looking for something a little bigger? Our Golden Fleece cottage is incredibly spacious, and can sleep up to eight people. An added bonus? In all of our cottages, children 5 years old and under sleep for free!
Boutique Camping & Glamping Facilities
To accompany these three cottages, we also have two unique boutique camping experiences.
If you are looking for a unique getaway, the safari tent is for you. It offers a sleeping space of up to six people in two twin beds, one double and one king sized bed with incredible views and an abundance of space. The Safari Tent provides a camping experience but with the added luxuries to make your stay comfortable and a trip to remember. The main thing about our safari tent is that it is off the grid, so you can do your part for the environment, coming complete with solar powered energy. We give you a chance to kick back, relax and be more attuned with nature.
Offering an experience like no other is our suspended, Tree Tent. Elevated in more ways than one, it comes fully equipped with a fully fitted private kitchen, comfy double bed, solar powered lighting, a wood burning stove and a fully private outdoor shower. It’s truly a unique and special way to experience everything nature has to offer.
Want something unmissable? We have our Yurts up for one month only during June. Our yurts, which sleep two, have an undeniable comfort that you’ll for sure not want to miss. The king size beds in them come fully loaded with the comfiest of mattresses to get the best night’s sleep beneath the stars. Wanting to stay warm? We have log fires ready for you to use so you can stay warm on those chillier evenings.
